Peoria Childcare Curriculum Looks at Complete Child Development
Parents always want the very best for their child or children, so it’s usually quite an easy decision to choose between “basic childcare” and “childcare that offers so much more.”
That latter choice is available in the Peoria area in the form of PALS Praise & Leadership Schools. For the last 30 years, this institution has been offering innovative daycare and preschool, from infants up to pre-K, from 6 weeks to 6 years.
The Peoria childcare program uses a unique curriculum for different ages, designed to foster creative development of spatial awareness, logic, reasoning and motor skills. It also builds a solid foundation for future success in social skills, math, language and a general understanding of the world.
Educational research continues to affirm that more considerable attention to children in these formative years can help set them on a stable path with their academics and general character.
That’s why the PALS model incorporates so much more into its programming than many other Peoria childcare programs. Children may not realize that what they think of as daily fun activities such as music, storytime, art and group games all have more profound value and are specifically designed to boost everyone’s academic, emotional and personal growth and achievement. Even playtime is considered valuable as a way to enjoy themselves and focus on positive social interaction and mutual respect.
The PALS program also provides nutritious meals and meditative rest periods to make sure growing brains and bodies have a chance to pause once in a while.
Different curriculums have been created for different age groups, including infants, toddlers, ages 2-3, and Pre-K. This is all based on developing the whole child and continually providing enriching activities.
Safety First
Although PALS prides itself on its focus on nurturing young children, we know that modern parents are also concerned about security and safety in whatever Peoria childcare program they choose. So we make sure that all students are under constant supervision by trained staff at all times in the classrooms and in the play areas.
Access is also limited by design. The front doors are always locked, and authorized parents or legal guardians are given a secret code. Then they are required to scan their thumbprint to enter or exit with their child.
Each classroom has a phone and a camera, and the facility’s outdoor playground also has a high fence. Parents or guardians are also asked to provide a list of authorized people who may need to pick up their child in the event of emergencies.
Parents are also encouraged to visit: they can come directly into their child or child’s classroom or simply watch on a video monitoring system. This can allow them to observe how they interact with other children and staff without knowing a parent is nearby.
